ASUU EXTENDS WARNING STRIKE TO EIGHT WEEKS

The academic staff union of universities (ASUU) have extended the four weeks warning strike to eight weeks. Recall that on February 15th ASUU embarked on four weeks warning strike as a result of the federal government’s not implementing the agreement, they had with ASUU. ASUU mentioned that the eight weeks will allow the government to implement whatever they want to.

Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau, Ph.D. According to an ASUU spokesman, the decision to extend the deadline was made to allow the government to reach an agreement so that the union would not have to go on strike again.

The Nigerian students will have no choice but to stay at home throughout the period as the incessant strike has disrupted the educational system in Nigeria.
